BoBo's Biography
BoBo was adopted from SPCA in April 2002. Based on their records, her original name was Joey and her birthday Oct 1st. However, she always gave us that "are you talking to me?" kind of look whenever we called her "Joey". So I renamed her "BoBo" instead, and she seems to like this name. The vet estimated her year of birth to be 2000 so, theoretically, she's going to be 7 years old this year!
We figured that BoBo might have been abandoned by her previous owner or lost on the street somehow because she seemed really scared of people and dogs when we first adopted her, and she used to hide in the cage most of the time. Under our tender loving care, she's grown to trust us and become part of our family. She's very comfortable around the house now and she's just a bundle of joy.
BoBo is very friendly, smart and obedient in nature, although quite clumsy sometimes. You wouldn't believe how many times she's miscalculated and smashed herself into the wall or table or landed half way on a step. She's a little silly sometimes, but we all love her very much! From her, I've learnt the following important lessons:
1. When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
2. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
3. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be
pure ecstasy.
4. When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
5. Take naps.
6. Stretch before rising.
7. Run, romp, and play daily.
8. Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
9. When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
10. No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout..! run right back and make friends.
11. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
12. Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
13. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
